About PetawawaThe Town of Petawawa is the largest municipality in Renfrew County, and the largest municipality between Ottawa and North Bay, with a population of 16,000. The immediate catchment area more than doubles to 33,000, while the greater catchment area of the region is 75,000. The municipality has excellent road and air transportation. In addition to being home to the Trans Canada Highway, the Town is also the host municipality of the Pembroke & Area Airport, a certified airport used by private and commercial aircraft.
